Your Toolstack + AI — Notion, Slack, and GHL with Claude

How to bring AI into the tools you already use every day — Notion, Slack, and GoHighLevel.

AI doesn't replace your tools

A lot of people expect AI to somehow take over their entire workflow. It doesn't work that way.

AI is most powerful when it's connected to the tools you already use — not replacing them, but making you faster in each one.

This lesson shows you exactly how to use Claude alongside Notion, Slack, and GoHighLevel (GHL) to cut down the repetitive work in each.

Notion — your team's brain

Notion is where the team tracks tasks, projects, client information, and knowledge. Claude can help with all of it.

Writing task updates

When you complete a task and need to log it in Notion:

"I just finished [what you did]. Write a clear 2-sentence task update for my Notion log. Professional, specific, no fluff."

Paste the result. Done in 10 seconds instead of staring at a blank text box.

Summarizing a Notion page

When you've got a long Notion document you need to understand fast:

  1. Copy the text from the Notion page
  2. Paste it to Claude with: "Summarize this in 5 bullet points. What are the key decisions, next steps, and anything I need to know?"

Building Notion pages from notes

When you have rough notes and need a clean Notion page:

"Take these rough notes and turn them into a clean, organized Notion page. Use headers, bullet points, and a summary at the top. Notes: [paste your notes]"

Planning your week

"Here is my task list for the week: [paste tasks]. Organize these into a priority order. Put urgent + important first, then important but not urgent. Flag anything that seems like it might take longer than expected."

Slack — faster communication

Slack is how the team communicates internally. Claude helps you write clearer, faster messages.

Writing a project update message

When you need to update the team on a project status:

"Write a Slack update for the HivePowered team. Project: [project name]. Update: [what happened, what's next, any blockers]. Keep it scannable — use short sentences and bullet points if more than 2 points."

Responding to a message you're not sure how to answer

When a message comes in and you're not sure of the right response:

  1. Copy the message
  2. Give Claude the context: "I received this Slack message from [person/role]: [paste message]. I need to respond professionally and helpfully. The situation is: [brief context]. Draft my response."

Writing a question to a client or team member

When you need to ask something but want to make sure it comes across right:

"I need to ask [person] about [topic]. I want to sound professional but not stiff. The key question is [what you need to know]. Any relevant context: [brief background]. Write the message."

Important reminder: Always send Prime a preview before sending any message to clients or the wider team. This isn't about Claude — it's just the right workflow.

GoHighLevel (GHL) — your marketing and CRM tool

GHL is the platform HivePowered uses for client campaigns, automations, and funnels. Claude can't log into GHL for you, but it can help with everything you write inside it.

Email campaign copy

When you need to write a GHL email:

"Write a [short / medium] marketing email for [client name]. Goal: [what you want the reader to do]. Audience: [describe who gets this email]. Tone: [describe tone]. Include subject line + preheader + body + CTA button text."

SMS copy

"Write an SMS for [client]. Max 160 characters. Goal: [what you want them to do]. Tone: casual and direct. Include a short link placeholder [LINK]."

Landing page sections

When you need copy for a GHL funnel page:

"Write a hero section for a landing page for [client]. Headline (max 8 words), subheadline (1 sentence), 3 bullet points of key benefits, and a CTA button text. Audience: [describe]. Goal: [what they should do]."

Automation trigger messages

The auto-response messages in GHL workflows can be impersonal. Claude can help:

"Write a warm, human auto-reply email for when someone submits the [discovery call / contact / quote] form for [client]. It should thank them, set expectations about when they'll hear back, and make them feel good about reaching out. Tone: [describe client's tone]."

The key workflow principle

Notice the pattern across all of these:

  1. You know what needs to happen (the task)
  2. Claude writes the words / organizes the thinking
  3. You review, adjust if needed, then place it in the tool

Claude is the writer. You are the editor and decision-maker.

This is faster than doing it yourself and better than letting it run without your review. Neither extreme works. The team member + Claude combination does.

What to do when a tool asks you to use AI directly

Some tools (including GHL and Notion) now have their own built-in AI. Should you use that instead?

Use whichever gives better results for the task. As a general rule:
- Built-in AI (like GHL's AI email writer): Good for quick tasks within that tool's workflow, but usually more limited
- Claude: Better for complex writing, strategy, longer content, or when you need to give it detailed context about a client

You're not being disloyal to any tool. Use what works.

Too tired to type? Use your voice

If you're exhausted from a long day and don't want to type, you don't have to.

Wispr Flow is a dictation tool that works inside any app — Notion, Slack, email, Claude. Just speak, and it transcribes directly into wherever your cursor is. It cleans up your words as it goes, so you don't need to speak perfectly.

How to use it with Claude:

  1. Open Claude Chat
  2. Start speaking naturally — don't worry about structure. Brain dump everything: what the task is, who the client is, what you want to say, any relevant context
  3. Wispr Flow types it out for you
  4. Hit send — Claude organizes and polishes it

You can go from a messy 30-second voice note to a finished social post or email draft in under a minute.

Starting tomorrow

Pick one tool you use every day. Pick one repetitive task inside that tool.

Build a skill for it.

That's the move. One skill, one tool, one task. By the end of the week, you'll have 5. In a month, you'll have a personal AI system that makes you faster in everything you touch.

You're nearly done with the course. The next step is getting your team into the same flow — and staying sharp as the tools evolve.
